Kate has worked in recruitment since 1994 and is the founder and Chief Executive of Kinetic Recruitment, Wise Ones and Swivel Careers.
She started Swivel Careers after seeing that a vast number of young people were come to her agency looking for jobs with no or little direction – often going down career paths that were the wrong fit. She saw a need for high quality career coaching for school-age students, and worked with a team of organisational psychologists and business professionals to design the leading-edge programmes that Swivel Careers offers today.
Kate is also a business advisor, executive coach and keynote speaker for conferences and events.
Before joining Swivel Careers, Kate held senior human resources and consulting roles in large corporate environments. She draws on this practical experience to help students consider their potential fit in the world of work.
Her coaching style is supportive, practical, positive and results-focused. With a keen interest in positive psychology, Kate focuses on helping students feel motivated, empowered and confident to take the big and small steps towards a successful career.
As a certified career and leadership coach with qualifications in Career Development, Positive Psychology and Wellbeing, Kate loves helping people of all ages identify and leverage their unique strengths to map out a career path and goals they feel excited about.
